I am a PhD Candidate at the UvA, supervised by Dr. Bastiaan Rutjens and Dr. Nils Jostmann. I am researching topics within the social psychology of sustainability, specifically individuals' perceptions of complexity in climate change mitigation. I am also interested in cognitive biases such as overconfidence, and working on a project to experimentally test the relationship between overconfidence and susceptibility to fake news.
Prior to starting my PhD, I completed my MSc in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where I specialized in political psychology, and my BSc (with Honours) in Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Perceptions of complexity in climate change mitigation: how does perceiving sustainability as a complex, nonlinear, and highly uncertain issue lead affect attitudes towards climate change?
